Assistive Technology Training Services

The Torres Foundation provides training on assistive technology products for blind and low vision computer users. Specifically, we offer training on using JAWS and ZoomText/Fusion to work with Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet browsers, as well as several other windows applications.

Apple iPhone and iPad training is also available through the Torres Foundation. In these training sessions you learn the basics of texting, emailing, and calling with the benefit of The Voiceover screen reader as well as with voice recognition technology. Training is also provided on a wide variety of popular apps that provide the visually impaired with a high degree of mobility, independence and empowerment at work, at school, and at home.

Training can be provided one-on-one or in a group. The sessions can be conducted on-site or remotely using Zoom or other conference calling software.
